Susan Diane Ledbetter

Susan Diane Ledbetter, 58, of Forest Park passed away on June 17, 2020. A graveside service will be held at Loudsville United Methodist Church Cemetery in on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 11:00 am. Rev. Darwin Caldwell will be officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2pm-4pm. 

She was preceded in death by grandparents, LL Bennett, SR and Evelyn Bennett , LL Bennett, Jr and Marge Bennett , Ethel Pardue and Jim Hood;
sister, Melissa Lynn Hood and brother, Michael Allison Hood.

Survived by parents, John A. Hood and Dianne B. McDonald; brothers ,Jeffery Hood and Buddy McDonald; sister, Michelle Coleman Hood and son, Michael Ledbetter

Susan was born on 1/4/1962 and was given only one year to live due to being born with spina bifida. She was a fighter and went on to survive over 100 operations in 57 years which is amazing. A lot of this is due to the fact that her parents were always there for her. Always. Susan had a love for music to include Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson and many more great 80's bands. She also loved the Atlanta Braves, Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs. She has had many friends that have had the same issue with spina bifida, but has long outlived them; if for no other reason than it had to be someone.  She loved everyone she met. She would remember everyone's birthday. If you ever forgot anyone's birthday you knew who to call. Susan was always up for a phone conversation no matter the context of the call. She just wanted to be wanted.
