Robin's spirit was a warm beacon in the lives of those around her, as consistently made others feel at ease. A selfless individual, she would give you the shirt off her back.
Her career spanned many years, with Robin dedicating herself to the workforce with diligence and passion. She began her journey at Sears, where she was a dependable and hard-working employee before embarking on a new path as a school bus driver. It was in this role that Robin truly flourished; she adored her job, relishing the precious interactions she shared with the children.
Robin held tight to her cherished memories spent in the North Georgia mountains, where visits to her Granny became treasured experiences that cemented her love for family. Her sense of humor shined through as she enjoyed lighthearted classics like "I Love Lucy," offering her an escape into joy and laughter that she loved to share with those around her. A true classic rock fan with her favorite bands being, Led Zeppelin, Journey, Def Leppard, and Fleetwood Mac.
As a proud and godly woman, Robin's faith was at the core of her being. She took the time to pray multiple times a day and found solace in her Bible, often seen reading passages at home. Her dedication to her church was unwavering, remaining an active member until her health prevented her from attending. This devotion reflected her compassion and deep spirituality, inspiring those fortunate enough to know her.
Robin leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory dear. Her husband of 32 years, Hugh Herod stands by her legacy, alongside her beloved children: son Joshua Edwards and daughter-in-law Heather Edwards, as well as son Jason Edwards and daughter-in-law Shelley Edwards. Additionally, she is survived by her step-son Joseph Herod, her cherished grandchildren Madison, Jacob, Blake, and Caleb Edwards, and her brother Anthony Wade, along with sister-in-law Nicollette Wade.
Though Robin is reunited with her parents, Pinkney and Bobbie Wade, and her sister Catherine Wade, who have preceded her in death, her profound impact on the lives she touched will resonate for generations to come.
As we remember Robin, we cherish a life lived with unwavering love, laughter, and kindness. Her generous spirit will forever be an inspiring legacy of compassion and devotion, reminding us to hold our loved ones closely and to cherish every moment together.
