Randy Clarke Russell, Sr., age 70, of Morrow, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2021 in Destin, FL with his family by his side. He was born in Atlanta on September 18, 1950 to the late George Russell, Sr and Dorothy Wheeless. Mr. Russell was a graduate of Forest Park High School and a Vietnam veteran. He proudly served in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He loved to play golf and spend time with his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Mark Haynie will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home prior to service from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Russell, Sr and his mother, Dorothy Wheeless (Bill). He is survived by his wife, Shirley Russell; and children, Christy Russell of Doraville, Randy "Bubba" Russell, Jr of Morrow, Lauren Haggard of Cumming, Raven Barker of Jonesboro, and Trisha Crenshaw of Destin, FL; grandchildren, Seth, Auston, Emily, Josh, Keith, Noah, Chase, Hannah, Jade, Amber, Brisen, and Cayson; siblings, George, Jr., Scott, Laura, Cheryl, and Judy.
