Nancye Jacobs Ballew

Nancye Jacobs Ballew, of McDonough, passed away on August 25, 2021.  She was born on August 23, 1941 in Gretna, VA to the late Hugh Dillard Jacobs and Maggie Pearl Foster. Mrs. Ballew was a school teacher for the Clayton County school system for 30 years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Morrow. She sang in the Adult Choir, The Silvertone's Senior Adult Choir, and taught Sunday school.

A memorial service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Morrow on September 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Rev. David Tew will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends prior to service beginning at 1:00 pm. 

She was preceded in death by her 3 brothers and her sister. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bill Ballew; daughter, Julie Conrad (Chris) of McDonough; son, Patrick Ballew of Cairo; sister, Shirley Ann Jacobs Karlen (Jim) of Salem, VA; brother, Lloyd Jacobs (Puddin) of Altavista, VA; grandchildren, Kelly Conrad, Benjamin Conrad, and Katelyn Ballew, numerous nieces and nephews. 

If so desired, in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Good Shepherd Clinic, 6392 Murphy Dr, Morrow, GA 30260 or to the food pantry at The First Baptist Church of Morrow.
