Mary Frances Grindle

Mary Frances Grindle, born May 9, 1941, to the late Travis and Lizzie McWaters, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Donald Lewis Grindle and a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her children: Greg Grindle (Kimberly), Brenda Congo (Gary), and Sheila Shelton (Gary). Mary also leaves behind her sisters, Catherine McWaters and Shirley Bogus, and her brother, Bobby McWaters. Her family extends to nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe McWaters, Jimmy McWaters, Charles McWaters, Franklin McWaters and Braxton McWaters, as well as her sister, Betty Hillidge.

A visitation will be held for Mary two hours prior to her funeral service on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest at College Park Cemetery.

Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
