Judith Victoria Pinyan Conway "Judy"

Judith Victoria Pinyan Conway, born February 25, 1944 ,Newnan, GA to Henry Sherman Pinyan, Jr. and Lillian Virginia Roberts Pinyan passed away on July 5, 2023. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Morrow on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00 am. Dr. Jimmy Lewis will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. 

Judy graduated from Headland High School, East Point, GA 1962. She attended Saint Joseph School of Nursing before marrying Eugene and moving to Frankfurt, Germany for 2 years and beginning a family.

In 1989, she attended Clayton State University where she finished her degree in nursing and became a licensed RN. She worked in Labor and Delivery for 15 years, before accepting a job with First Baptist Church of Morrow as Minister of Congregational Care. It was during this time that she met Dr. Thomas Kelly who expressed his desire to do volunteer work with homeless and uninsured citizens. Judy brought the idea to Dr. Jimmy Lewis at FBC and together with Dr. Kelly, "THE GOOD SHEPHERD CLINIC" was established in an unoccupied house on church property.

In 2015, Clayton State University honored Judy as OUTSTANDING GRADUATE IN THE MEDICAL FIELD.

Judy retired from FBC in April 2022 after 23 years of service.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Eugene, and their 5 children, Eugenia (Ginger) Marie, Henry Foster, Kelly Deanne, Jenny Lynn and Brian Michael, brother, Henry S. Pinyan, Ill and sister, Sallie D. Pinyan Faircloth, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
