Jimmy Howard Saxton

Jimmy H. Saxton, of Locust Grove, passed away on October 24, 2019. Jimmy was a graduate of Hapeville High School, Class of 1956. He moved on to be a life insurance salesman and retired from Life of Georgia. He is survived by his partner Dorothy “Dottie” Richardson; sons, Timothy Saxton, Dennis Saxton, and Chris Saxton; daughters, Vicki Wetzel, Patti Matalone, and Tina Ballew; sister, Geneva (Jerry) Eaton; brother, Jerry “Butch” (Barbara) Saxton; stepchildren, Tommy Richardson and Deanie Richardson Asip; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded by siblings,  Hoyt Saxton, Bobby Saxton, and Diane Johnson; son, Jimmy Saxton Jr.

A graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 11:00 am. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 28, 2019, from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm
