Jason Cary Mancil, age 52, passed away on September 23, 2024. A devoted husband, son, and friend, Jason leaves behind his loving wife, Stacy Marie Bales Mancil of Hampton, who will forever cherish his memory. Jason worked as a truck driver for 22 years, a profession in which he took great pride. He spent 14 years with Schneider National before continuing his career with B.A.H. Express, a local company where he has worked for the past eight years. His dedication to his job was only surpassed by the love he had for his family, friends, and his beloved pet Butterball, who preceded him in death. Outside of work, Jason enjoyed playing video games and spending quality time with his family. He was known for his warm heart, sense of humor, and the way he brought joy to those around him. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. In addition to his wife Stacy, Jason is survived by his mother, Teresa Lockamy Mancil of Willacoochee. He was preceded in death by his father, James Larry Mancil, and his loyal dog Butterball, who held a special place in his heart. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors, with visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will immediately follow, with Pastor Michael Tinney officiating. Jason will be laid to rest at Morrow Cemetery, where his life will be honored and remembered. Pallbearers will include Micky Bales Jr., Scott Smith, Ryan Bales, Steven Gullion, Danny Mulkey, and William Stallworth. Jason’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
