George "Buster" Anderson Nipper Jr.

George Anderson Nipper Jr. (nickname Buster) passed away in his home on January 25th, 2024 at the age of 95. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church of Forest Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM. Rev. J. Phillips Gilbert to officiate. Interment to follow at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery. 
 

George was born in Cleveland Tennessee on September 30th 1928. His parents were George Anderson Nipper and Edna Nipper. He married Carolyn Lee, his childhood sweetheart, on November 11th, 1949 at First Baptist Church of Forest Park and was married for almost 67 years until she passed away in 2016. They were active members of First Baptist Church of Forest Park for most of their lives. Carolyn sang in the choir and George was a deacon and chairman of the finance committee for many years. He retired after 33 years of being an accountant with Pyke and Pierce C.P.A.s. George joined the Navy Reserve in 1948 and served for 9 years .He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Forest Park GA and the Airport Area Kiwanis Club. Besides enjoying time with his family, he loved playing golf. He said golf is the experience of life expressed in the form of a game.

 He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Teal Nipper Gable; son Ted Edwin Nipper (Jan); sister Maxine Gilstrap; grandchildren Stacy Gable Vandiver (Stephen) , Shevis Ryan Gable (Priscilla), Melissa Lee Nipper, Patrick Anderson Nipper (Alex); great grandchildren Parker Greene, London Gable, Paris Gable, Rome Gable, Milan Gable, Liam Nipper, Claire Nipper; numerous nieces and nephews.
