Faye Hood

Edna "Faye" Hood, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cousin passed away April 13, 2022 at her home in Morrow, GA from cancer. She was born August 1, 1942 in Knoxville, TN. but grew up mostly in Alabama. She was born to Lorene and Clarence Houston Webster. While in high school, she met her future husband, Thomas Eugene “Gene” Hood. After High School, they moved to Miami for a time but eventually settled in Morrow, GA. Faye and Gene would go on to have two sons Kenneth Eugene Hood and William Houston “Bill” Hood. After the kids were older, Faye went to work as a Sales Associate at Macy’s department store. Faye loved her job. She loved meeting and helping all people. Faye loved her boys, grandchildren, reading, shopping, watching television and spending time at the lake. She is preceded in death by her husband, mother, and father. She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Hood (Jessica Bowman), William “Bill” Hood; her grandchildren, Kristen Blackmon (Anthony Blackmon), Haley Hood, and William Alexander “Zander” Hood; great grandchildren, Braelyn Pierce, Layla Blackmon, and Ariana Blackmon, and many cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Thomas Scroggs Funeral Home: 6362 S. Lee Street, Morrow, GA. 30260.

The viewing will start at 12:00 with the service starting at 1:00. The committal service will follow immediately afterwards at Fairview Memorial Gardens: 164 Fairview Rd., Stockbridge, GA. 30281.
