Louise Mitchell

Louise “Lucy” Mitchell, a beloved homemaker and a true southern lady, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024, in McDonough, Georgia. Louise was born on June 14, 1926, in Dacula, Georgia. She was a loving and caring individual with a close personal relationship with God.

Lucy dedicated her life to her family and home. As a homemaker, she embraced her role with grace, nurturing her loved ones and creating a warm and welcoming environment for all who entered her home. Louise's deep love and commitment extended beyond the walls of her house.

One of Lucy’s greatest passions was cooking. She was a true southern cook whose culinary skills were renowned among family and friends. Lucy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, J.C. Mitchell. Their bond was unbreakable, built on a foundation of love that inspired all who knew them.

She is survived by her son, Ray Mitchell of Hampton, GA, and her daughters Judy McNair and husband Frank of Hampton, GA, and Charlotte Noon of McDonough, GA. Lucy also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Natalie Grubbs and husband Rob, Sherri Pruitt and husband Irby, Gina Thater and husband Todd, Kim Mitchell, Michelle Little and husband Brian, Tracy Anderson, Wendy Wrye and husband Phil.
