Doris Eleanor Swan

Doris Swan, of Hogansville, passed away on January 14, 2020. A memorial service will be held at The Pinecrest Church of Fayetteville on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 am. Pastor J. W. Wallis and Pastor Shane Dawson will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5pm-8pm.                                                                                                                                                         

Mrs. Swan was everyone's mother and grandmother. Her two favorite things to do was to spend time with her family and to travel. Her favorite vacation destination was Cancun. She was a member of The Pinecrest Church, Fayetteville, Ga , but also attended Macedonia Baptist Church, Ephesus, Ga.                                                                                                                                                                                                           

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Norman D. Swan. She will be missed by her daughters, Melinda Kimbro (Johnnie) of Hampton, Elizabeth Phiefer of Corry, PA, Martha Chelton (Russell) of Corry, PA, and Cynthia Dawson (Chris) of Hogansville; sons, Michael Sherred of Corry, PA,  and Brian Allen (Jana Swan) of Girard, PA; sister, Mary Jane Vogel of Erie, PA; brother, Michael Ball of Rex; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren with 2 on the way, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Lola.
