Diane D’Hollosy Tolson, 93, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024 surrounded by her family. Born on September 22, 1930, Diane lived a life defined by her unwavering faith, generosity, and kind heart. A devoted Christian, she spent her years giving to others and sharing her love and compassion with everyone she encountered.
Diane is survived by her son, Michael Tolson, and his wife, Dell, and her daughter, Teresa Malmar, and her husband, Bruce. She was the cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren and the beloved great-grandmother of eleven great-grandchildren. Her family was the joy of her life, and her love for them knew no bounds.
For 32 years, Diane was a dedicated and successful real estate agent, where her warmth and integrity endeared her to clients and colleagues alike. She was also blessed with many beautiful friendships that she truly cherished.
She was the quiet anchors in the life of her family and friends, offering strength in times of need, joy in moments of celebration, and comfort when the heart is weary. She was the thread that weaved love and support through the fabric of their lives making every moment richer and more meaningful.
Diane's life was a testament to the beauty of love, friendship, and faith. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. After the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother friendships become the gentle embrace that carries us through the heaviest of hearts. In the quiet presence of those who care, we find solace, and in shared memories, we rediscover the warmth of her love. True friends help us remember that while she may be gone, her spirit lives on in the stories, smiles, and love she leaves behind.
Her family will hold a celebration of her life at a later date, to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Diane's memory to her church Southern Crescent Baptist Church, a place she held dear and where her faith flourished.
