David L. Adamson, Sr.

We are very saddened by the sudden passing of David Lee Adamson Sr., on February 20, 2024, who resided in Jackson, GA. He was born to Reese and Jewell Adamson on August 6, 1958. He is preceded in death by his parents, along with his brothers Joel Adamson and Dennis Adamson. David is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sherry Adamson, his children David Jr. (Mallory) Adamson, Lucas Adamson, and Ben (Alik) Adamson, and his two grandchildren Bentley and Ila Adamson. He also leaves behind his sister, Susan (Jay) Jackson, his brother, Allan Adamson, and multiple nieces and nephews.

David was well-known for his passion for NASCAR. He was an avid fan, finding joy in watching races and discussing the sport. He was also highly skilled as a handyman and was always ready to lend a helping hand. In addition to his hobbies and interests, David was a member of the CB radio community, known by the call sign "Lakeman." David's quick-witted comments brought laughter to those around him, and his love for his family was evident in the time he spent with them at the lake. He spent many hours outside in his garden and with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Roro”. He had a fondness for his cats and enjoyed their company. David's favorite meal was egg gravy with biscuits, which he cherished. 

David Adamson will be remembered for his carpentry skills and hard-working mentality. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A viewing will be held in David's honor on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Thomas L. Scroggs between the hours of 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A Graveside service will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM.
