Charles Stephen Wilson

Charles Stephen "Steve" Wilson, 72, passed away on August 24, 2024, in Morrow, GA. Born on July 4, 1952, Steve was known for his vibrant personality and generous spirit. Before his retirement, he humorously described himself as a “Keebler Elf,” standing out for his height and earning the nickname "two" elves. Steve had a profound love for classic rock, sharing many joyous moments singing and dancing to his favorite tunes with his beloved wife, Ann. His passion for music also led him to attend numerous rock concerts, creating lasting memories with Ann.

Steve was deeply devoted to his community, often recognized for his kindness and respect towards others, especially veterans, whom he made a point to personally thank for their service. His hobbies included gardening, where he took delight in planting bushes and flowers for Ann, adding beauty to their shared environment.

Steve leaves behind his wife, Ann Wilson; daughter, Mary Ann Kroon and her husband David; brother, Mike McQuistion and his wife Shirley; sister, Darlene Bilyeu; brother-in-law, Jimmy Pettitt and his wife Stephanie; sister-in-law, Tammy Pettitt; along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wilson's memorial service will take place on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors, 6362 South Lee St, Morrow, GA 30260, with Mark McKee officiating. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Tunnel for Towers or the Wounded Warrior Project, honoring Steve’s respect and appreciation for those who served.
