Carole Bourland Matz

Carole Bourland Matz was born September 10, 1952 in Key West, FL to William “Bill” A. Borland, and Gladys Creola Meacham. Carole was engaged to William “Bill” Nicholson Stewart of Fayetteville, Ga., and lived in Sandy Springs, Ga. She worked for Regions Bank, and even her boss’s name was Bill. She was a quiet person, who loved her cats as her own children. While she rarely said much, she was always attentively listening, and had a genuine sensitivity to others needs. She was well known for taking care of those around her, and serving people with love and compassion.

She is preceded in death by her father, William “Bill”  A. Borland, her brother, Michael William Borland. She is survived by her mother, Gladys, her fiancé, Bill, Her sister-in-law, Janine Crist, her niece, CJ Crist, and her favorite cousin Sammy Callahan.

Carole met Jesus face to face on the morning of July 9, 2022.  She was laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens on July 12, 2022.
