He was preceded in death by his son, Edwin Starnes, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Edna Starnes; sons, Jimmy Starnes (Lynn) of Concord, NC, Tim Walker (Carol) of Birmingham, AL,; stepdaughter, Eleanor Gilbert of Lake City; stepson, David Walker (Sherrie) of Gainesville, GA, numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
