Mildred Piper Trammell

February 25, 1932 — December 16, 2014

Mildred Piper Trammell, of Forest Park, Ga., passed away on December 16, 2014. She was born in Atlanta, but lived in Forest Park for over 65 years. She graduated from Forest Park High in 1949. She was a homemaker and an active member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, Ethel Floyd Bible Class, United Methodist Women, Alter Guild, and Keen-agers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Eugene Trammell, her mother and father, Mary and Clifford Piper, and infant son, Dean Edward Trammell. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Church; sons, Wade and Cynthia Trammell, Scott and Annette Trammell; grandchildren, Kelly Church, Kyle and Kory Trammell; step grandchildren, Jay and Angela Church, Terry Church, Brian, Bruce, and Christi Krieg; great grandchildren, Mason Trammell, T.J. Church, Nevaeh, Aria, and Cecelia Krieg; sister, Pat Lassiter; brother, Ronald and Elaine Piper; several nieces and nephews. Her service will be held at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Dr. Rick Long will be officiating. Interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will be accepting friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-5 pm.
