Aubrey Lee Toney

Aubrey Lee Toney, of Conley, passed away on October 10, 2014. Mr. Toney's 23 years of Army service included the 1958 Taiwan Strait missile crisis and two tours in Vietnam from which he received numerous medals. Upon his Army retirement in 1980, he joined his younger brother Esbon as the co-owner of Emmitte’s Auto Repair in Forest Park where he worked until 2002. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. Services will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2PM. Interment to follow at Forest Park City Cemetery. The family will be accepting friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-8PM. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elba Toney; sons, Dennis Toney (Denise) of Hazel Green, AL, Rick Toney (Cathy) of McDonough, and Michael Toney of Stockbridge; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
