Jerry Creighton Barrington

Jerry Barrington, veteran of WWII, fought in the Korean War; retired Civil Service, passed away on January 1, 2013. A graveside service will be held at Macon Memorial Park, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00pm. Rev. Brad Smith to officiate. Visitation will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors, Friday from 5-8pm. He is preceded in death by his mother, Grace Barrington; father, John Barrington; loving stepmother, Janie Knight Barrington; daughter, Gail Spencer. Survivors include his wife, Margie Barrington of Rex; daughters, Kathy Dover (Robert) of Rex, Debi Merchant (Matthew) of Marietta, Jo Ellen Smith (Brad) of Rex; sisters, Lois Smith of Pensacola, FL, Debbie Melton (Glen) of North Little Rock, AR; brother, Johnny Barrington (Billie) of Pensacola, Fl., 8 grandchildren. 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
