Emma L. Mathis, or Forest Park, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. A service will be held at Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2:00pm. Bryan Pope to officiate. Interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will be accepting friends Friday evening from 5-8pm. Survivors include her daughter Kathy Pope(Ricky) of Forest Park; son, Harold Mathis of Forest Park; brother, Samuel Thompson of Brandon, MS; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Brushy Knob Baptist Church,455 Gardner Rd Stockbridge, GA 30281.
